Growing up in California in Japanese household; her parents' farm; internment during World War II; study of art; her career as an artist; community involvement, particularly in public school art programs; service on city and state art commissions and panels. Copies of photographs inserted.
Followed by transcript of interview with her husband, Albert Lanier, tape-recorded 1979: Architecture, Gardens, and the Individual. ([5], 32 p.).
Also with these, as documentary material supplementing the interviews: copies of reports on school art programs; invitations for gallery showings; clippings, etc. (1 box).
